1.Training and Documentation

    Following are the major functions of the Training and Documentation Department.

  • Trainig Key field level functionaries involved in literacy and CE Projects
  • Training the functionaries of District Resource Units (DRUs)
  • Preparation of training manuals / modules in CE/SB
    Undertaking the training of Master Trainers (ToTs) to prepare a cadre of Trainers at the grass roots
  • Level involved in literacy and CEP
    Imparting training to artist to perform street plays, jatha and traditional media to create awarness in literacy, health, hygiene etc, among the benificiaries.
  • Acting as repository of preserving, documenting and disseminating information about the policies and programmes of literacy and CE.
  • Undertaking Action Research

      Planning and designing literacy and CE curriculum

    • Development of literacy primers, CE books
    • Developing audio / video materials
    • Developing specially desinged learning material suited to the specific target groups like women, SC/ST and tribals, minorities etc.
    • Preparation of awarness materials
    • Preparing suitable package for radio programmes
    • Preparing manuals for enhancing reading skills for neo literates
    • Undertaking Action Research

    3.Post literacy and   Continuing education

    • To cater to the needs and demands of neo-literates and life long learning
    • Developing audio of CE materials/books suited to neo-literates
    • Planning and organizing special programmes addressing the needs of Women, SC/ST and minorities.
    • Thrust towards organizing seminar / workshops related to women empowerment / Media etc.
    • Convergence with various developement departments
    • Innovative Field Programmes.
    • Undertaking Action Research
